I doubt many have read the thread since it is posted under general interest. Next time post it under culture.

However, Fukuyama is right.

Reading what the scientists are planning is really scary. Unfortunatly, most of the scary stuff is either disguised in scientific mumbo jumble in scientific magazines, or written about in places like Mother JOnes or the Green sites.

Some of the Catholic prolife sites also mention it (see Petersnet and ewtn), as does Bioethix.org, a christian ethics site.link

To be honest, I posted the article in General Interest because I wanted to see, A) if anybody is following the new guidelines, and B) if anybody is browsing the General Interest forum. Over the past week or so I've noticed with some irritation that the Crevo folks are simply calling the evolution question "philosophy" and posting in the News/Activism forum.

As you say, it looks like hardly anyone read this post, although it discusses issues of significant interest to many Freepers. Not many people are actually coming to the General Interest forum, I guess.
