Then he has been massively overpunished for that misdemanor already by being put on trial for his life, pain and suffering, massive financial loss of legal fees, loss of professional earnings, loss of reputation, and a hundred others.

He should still sue San Diego up the wazoo for conducting an illegal fishing expedition into his affairs just because he happened to live near where a crime happened.

They had no evidence of motive, and they took advantage of his good nature and willingness to help solve this high profile case.

I would agree with you on this.

People's emotions being what they are and from the description we heard of the video clip and some of the jurors reactions I wonder.

I guess we don't have too much longer to go to find out what the answer will be though. I think the closing arguments are going to be rather colorful.
