A poisonous snake has a triangular head, but it could be some exotic poisonous snake that escaped from a collector. Got a pellet gun?
To: Sweet_Sunflower29
Just take it outside and let it go.

I'm no expert, but stick your finger out and see if it bites.

are there any obvious markers I can use to identify it?
To: Sweet_Sunflower29
Rule of thumb, if it doesn't have bright colors or gaudy patterns on it, it's probably not poisonous.
Do what OldFriend said.

    Garter snake. They are harmless.
When I was in the fourth grade, I wouldn't think of going to school without one in my pocket.
I had a real mean teacher, but she knew I was armed. : )

Well, it COULD be an Adder... however, if there are two then they are most likely Multipliers... :0)

Snake, bedroom....naw, I am leaving that one alone. Take it outside and let it roam free :)

Garter snake?

To: Sweet_Sunflower29
Non posinous snakes also typically have round eyes.
To: snippy_about_it
ok...will a garter snake have markings or not? or does it matter? does a baby rattler make rattle noise?

I'm sorry, but seriously be careful because there could be a lot more that you have not yet found.
