Re the stretchyface man: The ways in which people abuse themselves never cease to amaze me. Happy Labor Day, all. No parades or picnics here. Mr. M and I probably will hit the links later after puttering around the house. My sister was planning to bring the girls over to swim at our local pool (it's more fun out here in the country than in the 'burbs of Pittsburgh), but she's come down with an unknown ailment and isn't up to it.

HLL - hope the Vernor's hasn't caused a China syndrome type of catastrophe.

This girl amuses me as much as Chels:

WHEN Paris Hilton showed up at a Crunch gym the other day, the only part of her body she exercised was her mouth. Dressed in heels and a clingy dress, Paris strode in yammering on her cell phone, strolling past the boxing ring and a spinning class. After eyeing her reflection in the window of an exercise studio, she shot back out of the gym, still yapping. Tommy Hilfiger poster boy Jason Shaw met her outside and finally shushed her with a kiss. NY Post

I'll take a tour of my usual sites and see if there's any more news worth reporting. Oh, here's something - Catherine Deneuve says today's movies are soulless:

VENICE, Italy (Reuters) -- French actress Catherine Deneuve, star of a new romantic comedy inspired by the 1957 classic "An Affair to Remember," railed on Saturday against Hollywood's current love of technology over substance.

Deneuve, whose "Au plus pres du paradis" is one of 21 films vying for the Golden Lion award at the Venice Film Festival, said interesting characters and good acting were losing out in the effects-filled film world.

"Cinema is still a very young art form with extraordinary techniques and very impressive special effects but sometimes it seems the soul has been taken out of things," Deneuve told reporters(.) CNN

I am so gonna relax today. Party planning always poops me out.

Have to call my sis back and give the 'puter to No. one son for a bit. I'll be back when I tell him to go mow the lawn. :-)

Looking forward to all the news that's fit to print.

My sis works for Riverside Co. Jails and courts. Think I'll give her a call or email her and ask her about Ms. ROSE. Seems she has a drinking and drug problem too.My question is this. If she has been married 5 X's and has a drug and alcohol problem. Why do men keep marring woman like her and having children with them? I know! I Know! She pretty, young, thin, with fake boobies and blond?
