Rope a dope, or rope a daschele bump.

Oh, I thought you said Daschle was a 'dope on a rope'. Either way, it fits!

FR has plenty of people who cut off their noses to spite their face, i.e., vote for fringe third-party types or vote for Dems to "make a statement" about all that's wrong with the GOP. They think they're standing on high moral principle.

Cold, cold comfort that strict adherence to principles when SCOTUS is on the line among the minor details of keeping the Senate.

Would anyone happen to have a pattern for a Cabbage Patch Kid body? I remember throwing mine away thinking I'd never need it again. Now I wish I had it back. I'll be happy to pay postage both ways if someone will loan it to me to trace.

As the anniversary of the Islamic terrorist attacks on the U.S. approaches, let us contemplate the wisdom of our former president:

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Former President Bill Clinton is "full of regret" that the United States did not stop Osama bin Laden before the September 11 terrorist attacks, he told CNN Tuesday, but is confident about the end result of the U.S. war on terrorism. ....

"I thought that my virtual obsession with him was well placed, and I was full of regret that I didn't get him," he said. CNN story

He spewed this tripe on Larry King's show while Bob Dole sat there and didn't challenge him. Pathetic.

;-) Thanks - it's great to be back.

Traveling around our country, I am still amazed at the physical beauty of America, the basic goodness of most people, and the need for us to do whatever needs to be done to protect our way of life from any and all who would try to destroy us.

The American people are behind you Mr. President - Let's Roll.

Yep, there was some do-do the other day who said he was going to vote for Davis instead of Simon. He was convinced that CA needed a third party candidate to 'shake things up'. Apparently some publication put it out that Simon didn't oppose 'homosexual marriage'. Of course some knee-jerkers immediately went off the deep end saying they'd never vote for him, that he was a RINO, etc. They didn't even WAIT to hear what Simon had to say himself! Turns out the story had it wrong, but even after that, the guy on FR was STILL saying he'd vote for Davis because he didn't think he could 'trust' Simon. What an idjit! I told him to get ready for CA to go into the toilet if more 'so called' conservatives followed in his footsteps! I told him that the whiny conservatives should get off their butts, get to the polls and vote FOR Simon if they REALLY wanted change in CA.

The MTV ex-prez checks out VH-1:

Another new "do" for the beaste?:

I couldn't stomach a second of it, to watch, listen or read any of it. I have just enough respect for Dole to hold on the the idea that Dole's real ploy is to show clintoon the light. Crazy I know. It's the Polly Anna in me.

Help me out here, because I am obviously fashion challenged, but is Rottenbottom's headband made of hair or corduroy?

I think that Simplicity or Butterwick still makes a Cabbage Patch body. I can go up to JoAnn's fabrics and see if I can pick up a pattern for you.

Was it heart warming to meet so many different people in different places who stand behind our country and our President?

We're with you JL, whatever we need to do to keep our childrens and our way of life safe.

Ebay has 55 patterns, but it's mostly for clothes. It looks like Butterwick is the patternmaker.

It looks like some kind of braided thing to me. She should be wearing a dirndl, call herself Heidi and carry six big beer steins in one hand to complete the look.

Well to me in this article remind me of Dubya is Michael Corlone and Little Tom Dashule is Fredo

You know that mean

Bush Sr is Vito Corlone

You disrespect me in the press

You didn't invitate me over to Congress for coffee

Remember I going ask you a favor

Maybe that day would never come

I am hoping

I have saved this thread American Idol Live Thread.

You see, whenever we have had a live thread lately... be it the State Dinner or Miss America, they have been pushed into the Cheese Hole, even after pleas to have it remain on the main News and Activism. When threads go to the Cheesehole, they die.

I have had several anxious emails about the Emmy's and Miss America Pageant and will we be hosting a live thread. Of course we will be hosting, and as always I will put it in News and Activism.

If our live thread is shoved into the Cheesehole to die, it will be proof of a bias on FR. I just want to document that at this point in time, 12:04 EDST, the American Idol thread still remains in New and Activism, 16 hours after the event.
