Here in Spokane the two local big band radio stations start playing the Xmas music Friday after Thanksgiving---so I have to use my own CDs for a whole month!

I'm in that area but haven't heard any yet, thank goodness. But I listen to Rush anyway. Manheim Steamroller!

Christmas music, or seasonal music? I remember once being in a store for quite awhile and noticing that NONE of the tunes on the PA were of songs that mentioned Christmas, Jesus, or anything of the sort. Instead, they were all songs like "Jingle Bells", "Winter Wonderland", "Sleigh Ride", etc. Actually, I was surprised to realize just how many popular "Christmas" songs were just "Winter" songs [I think there were eight played].

Yes, I like the Steamroller's version of "Deck the Halls." A Yuletide song, if I recall, not a Christmas one. [Yuletide being the winter solstice celebrations that predated the birth of Christ by quite awhile].
