Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

How is the incubator experiment going?

I haven't forgotten about riding, just have had the last few Sat. busy. We will get together soon though.

Elizabeth is just finishing up her first day at the horse place.

I got a little report from Tami as she went to pick her up. Tami said that when she got there Elizabeth got to lead a horse around the ring just after it had been washed and when Tami left Elizabeth was washing a pony. Tami said that Elizabeth was beaming.

I hope the rest of the morning went well and that she is able to get back over there a few times a week.

Yes, we're keeping the buffs! Joshua couldn't say Biddy, so we changed the names to Puffy and Benny.

Get ready for pics here in a sec. They are absolutely DARLING!! Just gorgeous little chicks and so calm and sweet. One rode home in Joshua's lap (Puffy) and Benny road home on Matthew's SHOULDER! Matthew would try to get it to stay on his lap but it wouldn't...just crawled up his tummy to his shoulder!

I can tell them apart because of a pink splotch on their heads indicating they are pullets. When that pink spotch wears off...I don't know what I will do! LOL

Yes...still have to get some good garden shots. I was waiting for the plants to grow a bit more. :)

Okay...some garden shots. Weeds everywhere! And those @#$#@ deer are eating my cantaloups and beans. Cantaloups? I got me some artsy deer. Maybe I should use the neighbor's garden. :)

You could put nail polish on their toes, in different colors! That would tell them apart.

I hope Elizabeth really enjoys working at the horse place.... It may cost a fortune if she falls in love with horses, but it is better than boys. Least, that is the line of reasoning my Mom and I used with my Dad.

I'll just need to have him by the 25th. Clare and I have been thinking of places to take him. I'll have to see how 'tote-able" he is for carrying around NYC!!

Planning to get together with ecurbh after the trip to NYC, I can give Frodo to him if he wants to take him.
