By the rude palace that shed much blood
Their flag to the sandy breeze unfurled
Here once the resolute Americans stood
And fired the shot heard round the world

Its kind of a hack job, but somehow the minuteman poem was going through my mind.
And what an amazing shot it will have been if it was indeed the first shot of the war that took down Saddam.

tea-taxed bellicosity
