Prayers coming from our home to yours...I dont know exactly how you feel, but I can empathize....

In 1981, my brother died at the age of 34, from a heart attack...in 1983, my dear cousin who was like a sister to me, died at age 34, just like my brother....she was 9months pregnant, and died in her sleep...by the time her husband found her dead, it was too late to save the baby...she was buried holding her baby boy in her arms....

In 1984, my older boy was diagnosed with a rare and usually fatal type of leukemia, and I watched him struggle for 15months before he died...he was just 15yrs old, and when he died, I thought I would die too...to my amazement, I am still alive, and still able to partake in life...

In 1989, my dad died from cancer...he was 66....he had been taking care of my mom, who had had Alzheimers for years...now I took her in to live with me and my family, until she died in 1992, at the age of 70...

Then in 1997, my husbands father was struck by a truck, and killed...he was 78....

We have had so many family members die, of all ages, die within a few years of each other...its not been easy for us, as i am sure it has not been easy for you...

And you are right about it seeming to be harder to cope with the younger ones dying...you expect the elderly to die, its part of being born, part of the life process...

But when those are taken at a younger age, it does not seem rational, or understandable, or even copeable....

All I can do is pray for you, and wish you better times ahead...I know you will have dark times, but eventually they will be fewer...

Appreciate that 'This Old House' by Rosemary Clooney...I always liked that song...
