A little help if you please.

My 12 year old son, who has a cousin in country right now, heard about a few Marines who are not receiving any mail from the States. They are depressed.
He came up with the idea to create a pen-pal relationship with these Marines, and is enlisting the help of his middle school buddies.
He also wants to start a collection for some of these guys.
Question: Is there someone we can contact -- the USO, for instance -- that has a list of soldiers who can use a care package from home?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

One thing for sure, mail addressed to ANY SOLDIER will not be forwarded. Check out the web sites for the Red Cross, the USO, and any other you can think of that might be of help. There are some organizations that are compiling names but it takes weeks for the sender to be checked out for obvious reasons.
