For the record, this is NOT an Opus. Just an Opus in training . . .
Back in 1998 I joined FR as CitizenX. By the year 2000 I had to abandon that screen name because self-search was no longer useable. There were more entries for Citizen and CitizenX7 than for me! At the time I told FReepers that CitizenX's penchant for using BOLD TYPE caused him to run out of pixels.
I thought for a while and came up with the screen name of Mr_Magoo. Truth is I decided on that name the day I realized my eyeglass perscription was out of date. This worked well until recently. Lately, I have FReepers confusing me with someone named Mister Magoo.
(sigh)
Here we go again!
I decided today to kill off Magoo to end the confusion. JimRob was kind enough to rename my CitizenX account to Petruchio.
Why Petruchio?
Simple, do a google on it and Shakespeare. If you knew my ex you would instantly understand!
This time I hope my screen name stays unique.

Admin Mods,
Please keep this around for 1 day or so if possible. It is my hope to lessen the confusion of the name game if I can. If you gotta pull it, I understand.

I have a question!!! (Yeesh, for as long as I've been here, you'd think I'd know....)
Can you delete an account? Email and everything? Just totally erase it from the face of the earth?
Just curious, not planning on deleting my account. I love it!

The etymology of my screen name is directly related to Mssr. Shakespeare's "The Taming of The Shrew". Back in the old days I was a tank platoon commander in the Marine Corps.
In my platoon we did everything as a 'team'. We even named our tanks as a team using a theme. My vehicle was christened "The Shrew". I even kept a copy of the play in my commander's cupola. Tank's definitely have personalities and Alpha 3-1 was a beautiful, if hard to manage b****. So, it definitely lived up to it's namesake. My crew even all read the play!
I have a photo on my office wall of my tank and crew and it seemed appropriate name for a conservative website.
Petruchio is a great nom de guerre and I wish you much luck with it. Heck, it already has one woman ready to blow in your ear! How bad can that be!
"Now, go thy ways; thou hast tamed a curst shrow." Hortensio - William Shakespeare "The Taming of The Shrew" Act V Sc. II.

[whew!]
For a minute I thought I was in trouble with a tanker!
FReegards.
To: Petruchio
Now the tankers you don't want to be in trouble with are those young studs driving around the streets of Baghdad. I don't think I could keep up!

You are so right. Damn, I am proud of those MEN!
