Thanks for the ping. It appears as though this bill (H.R.500) which has 44 co-sponsors, was sent to the Subcommittee on Immigration and Claims on 2/16/2001 and has been on the back burner ever since. With the current climate in this country, their timing couldn't be worse (says she with fingers crossed).

This is all getting too rediculous for words. Perhaps we should switch places; they can all move here, and we'll all move to Mexico. After that, the borders will be slammed shut and we will give them nothing more. I'm getting tired of this attitude that we owe them everything, when they only resent us and appreciate nothing.

They "produce", that's for sure: crime, bankrupt health care systems, public schools bloated with no-habla gimme-gimme welfare tickets, gangs, drugs, overcrowded housing, traffic, sprawl, high housing prices, depressed wages, and loads of anchor babies. If these clowns were such a boon to the economy, California would be the wealthiest state on the planet. Instead it's $40 billion in the hole.
