We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
The United States thinks at least seven officials of the defunct Iraqi regime are now in Syria.
NASA now has the strongest evidence yet the shuttle was doomed at takeoff. There was a temperature spike 81 seconds into the flight (that is, after liftoff) along the leading edge of the left wing. Temperatures should have been decreasing or steady. This is the same location struck by the foam that came off the external tank.
The United States wants the UN to lift sanctions against Iraq imposed as a result of the 1991 Gulf War. It is facing an uphill battle.
A man in Nashville waited for 30 minutes for the city fire Department to rescue his dog from his burning apartment - not that it would have been hard, the dog was pressed up against a glass door to a balcony. The man decided he couldn't wait any longer, and rescued the dog himself. He is now being charged with reckless endagerment. The city is being lambasted; questions have arisen whether the man would have been charged similarly if it had been his child, rather than his pet. Interesting, Nashville has been quite evasive and defensive about that line of questioning.
Do not forget the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I am beginning to think that the weekend crew is a test to see how loyal their viewers are.

"The Redistribution of Honor" article is excellent. I just finished reading it.

Good morning! I can't stay long. but...
did y'all read about the lastest problem the french are having. It appears that the Almighty isn't too pleased with them either. They have suffered an unusual April frost which has wiped out about 50% of this year's champagne grapes. Awwww!
It seems to me that they're trying to make amends, albeit in their arrogant whiney fashion and get the US to forgive them They called and begged Bush to speak with Chirac earlier this week. It's being reported their tourist trade and exports to the US is down by about 25%.
Now, they can call Bush and beg the government to soften its stance now that they've seen the light (and felt the pinch). But what they fail to realize is that AMERICANS are really mad. Frankly, our government can do what it wants (that's not quite true, but it works for my rant), but I am not going to forgive or forget. And I won't be buying french products. Or, traveling through that geography.

ITS A GOOD A.M. TO ALL OUT IN FREEPER LAND, USA FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!
I have a REAL BIG THANK YOU to all you 'yankees out there and the reason? During the civil war in vicksburg the armies would often times call a 'time out' on Sunday fighting, one side would tell the other over the trenches 'no fighting today, Reb or, Yank' The yankees would set up a baseball game on the battlefield among themselves and the Rebs would watch them wiondering what this game was. AFter the war and during the yankee occupation the yankees started teaching the Rebs that wonderful game of 'baseball' and this we thank you for.
The news media, misguided idiots. A few thousand of the Baath pary demostrates against our precence there (wonder why) and 24 million Iraqs are glad we are there and who gets all the news coverage? The Baath party. Electricty out? Who made the power go off, not us. No mention of this, blame us first.
Now Fox and Friends, weekend version. Mike, 'Mr. Chuckles'. Julliet 'E.D. wanna be' and ole Julian, the balanced side of 'Fair and Balanced'. What I am trying to say is THEY STINK! Replace them with Larry, Curley and Moe.
Back on the civil war. Did you know that the yankees and rebs would sit and chat around a campfire when not in battle? They tell of one meeting was that one brother found another brother and they caught up on the family at home, went back to the trenches and got on with it.
It is such a blessing that we are who we are and where we are. I look at these poor people in Iraq and see how they live and say "Thank You Lord, I am who I am and where I am by the design of your hands' I also think that our Lord has many more good things in store for this world and at the direction of OUR President George W. Bush, a man he has been placed to lead this country and the side of right. Right always outweighs wrong.
Prayers for our troops and, for OUR President W, such a wonderful man and, for all with those special need of prayers. As asways, for the elderly and a good day to 'be nice to the elderly'. A simple smile and a 'hello' will go such a long way. YOU have a good day, ya hear?

I saw the video of the man rescuing his dog and I would dispute the claim that he endangered the lives of fire fighters. He got up there quickly, saved the dog, and both jumped safely from the balcony. I don't know what the fuss is, but I really don't have all the details, I guess. He said he would do it again and 60% of people in a poll said they'd do the same and 17% said they might depending on the circumstances.

I'm glad I'm not living in Singapore right now. This SARS epidemic is being called the greatest challenge that Singapore has ever faced and everyone seems extremely concerned about it. This picture is from Hong Kong, but I'm sure that this sort of thing is happening in Singapore too. It's really getting bad.

Hey... we got rain here.
That means we should have a glorious sunrise on Easter Sunday, right?!
Boy howdy we need the rain though... Been dryer than you can imagine, and we set a record for number of grass fires that occurred last week for a spring season.

On baseball: My 15-year-old nephew is pitching really well for his high school which is currently in 1st place. I think if he works at it he has a good chance at a college scholarship so he's one guy who can benefit from the yanks teaching the rebs baseball.
On the war: My great-grandfather left home as a teenager and joined the Union. His father and brothers ended up on the other side. They didn't meet during the war or ever after. He headed to Nebraska where he homesteaded the land that was in our family until my cousin went bankrupt and had to sell in 1984.

You've got that exactly right, Jay. Somehow President Bush is to blame for that frost.
Here's the last paragraph from this story (Under cover of war, Mugabe unleashes a new reign of terror) which I just posted.
Many Zimbabweans who would not have supported the Iraqi war are talking of a "Bush solution". "Mr Bush, when are you coming to liberate us?" has become a catchphrase among unemployed youths.
Interesting that now to these Zimbabweans, our president is seen as a liberator.
