From Mullings.com:
Speaking of audacity, that action at the Masters golf tournament put together by Martha Burk drew about 40 protesters (the AP reported, "A single bus pulled up to drop off Burk supporters - and 17 people got off.") which means there were more golfers IN the tournament AFTER the cut than there were people protesting them.

Standing directly in front of Ms. Burk was a kid - he had to have been a college student - holding up a sign where she could see it, which read:

"Make me dinner."

Occasionally he would flip it over. The other side of the sign said,

"Iron me a shirt."

LOL!

Cleaver signs.

Rainy and cold here. No chance for gardening today. I think the couch is calling me.

If only I could send you the rain.

It rained on Easter Sunday. Iowa Fork Lore says if it rains on Easter Sunday it will rain for 7 consecutive Sundays. So far, the Folk Lore is right. We are soggy. Planting is delayed again.

50 degrees at 3:30 pm. The guys are out mushrooming. I can't imagine much will grow in this cold.

Quite agree - I wasn't pleased with Dole as a presidential candidate and am even less enamored of him as a supposedly conservative spokesman on 60 Minutes. BTW, did you get pelted with hail yesterday? I thought I saw your town on the weather channel.

I had to laugh at the coach's apology, where he promised never, ever to do it again (in case any potential employers were listening).

We've had our own problems here in Iowa this week.

Altho, I must say,, a 57 year old male should know better. Allowing those charges to room service is blatantly DUMB.

Not that going to frat parties and schmoozing it up with the coeds is smart.

If a 'no-name' had pulled these same two stunts, nothing much would have happened. Or at least if it happened, it wouldn't have been reported on the front pages of newspapers.

"When much is received, much is expected" (but don't charge it to room service)

Every time I see that idiot Bill Nelson on tv (last night,as a matter of fact) I always say something derisive mocking his nasal southern hick voice. (Being from the South, I can get away with that remark.) He really bugs me. How did someone SO STUPID get to be an astronaut?

Oh, yes. Not-so-big hailstones, only lasted about 20 minutes. We were in a great little burger joint, right by the big plate glass window. Watched the hail bounce off the car roofs right into the window. It was kinda cool!

Is anyone surprised:

'PARIS DEMONSTRATORS yelling 'Kill the Jews!' torched synagogues, attacks against school kids . . . Ten percent Muslim, with the world's third-largest Jewish population, France is in crisis. And few are willing to name the poison behind more than a thousand acts of violence since 2001: anti-Semitism." This is the headline on Marie Brenner's astounding article coming in Vanity Fair. "France's Scarlet Letter" is the title and you must read it. Liz Smith

Might be worth picking up a VF this month. The violent anti-Jew sentiment in France is the sort of thing frequently described at the blog, Merde in France.

There was a thread last year on FR about Hillary! not washing her hair. I was accused by some of being mean to Hillary!, after all she was so busy "serving" and "working" for the people. Please.

Pleople on this forum defended the witch?!

So this hillary thing infects our lives and tries to screw up our medical system, ruins the lives of the people in the white house travel office, snafuing is the reason given to explain why over 900 FBI files just laying around. Not to mention the 100's of other sleazy things she's been up to.

She disparaged me and other stay at home moms with her snotty retort, "Well I guess I could have stayed home and baked cookies."

That snotty remark gives me the right to be as catty as I want, for as long as I want.

Warning to all feminazi's.... Don't spit on my choice of putting my children first, or the rath of my catty mouth will broadcast any and everything stupid that you do. Including your poor taste in clothing, accessories, make-up and your regularly filthy hair.

Hear the sound bite you may not have heard yet.

Click here to listen to the clip where she becomes unglued and the shrieking is unleashed.

Scroll to the midle of the page, under Listen to Rush and click on (Hartford Courant: Hillary Clinton Rallies Democratic Troops)

I haven't seen the tape as she's shrieking on TV. Hmmm, wonder why that is.

LOL, preach it sister!

That cookie remark told me all I needed to know about Ms. Rodham and her attitude toward stay-at-home moms.

I have never thought well of her, but at one time at least, my mother-in-law considered her the smartest woman in the world.

We don't discuss politics.

She's not just scary, but downright evil, a sociopath. Harsh? Yes, but accurate. I was flipping through one of my college criminology textbooks a few weeks ago and came across an interesting section on psychopathy. It references a book, 'The Mask of Sanity' written by Hervey Cleckly who listed 16 different characteristics of the psychopath or sociopath (same thing) he had seen in his practice:

The psychopath is charming and of good intelligence
Is not delusional or irrational
There is an absence of nervousness or psychoneurotic manifestations.
Is unreliable
Is insecure, and is a liar who can be trusted no more in his or her accounts of the past than in his or her promises of the future.
Is lacking in either shame or remorse.
Commits all kinds of misdeeds for astonishingly small stakes, and sometimes no reason at all.
Never learns from experience and will repeat over and over again patterns of self-defeating behavior.
Has no real capacity for love, although he or she often simulates affection or parental devotion.
Emotions are shallow.
Lacks insight to a degree usually only found in the most serious mental disorders.
Does not respond to considerations, kindness, or trust.
Often threaten suicide, but almost never carry it out.
The psychopath's sex life is impersonal, trivial, and poorly integrated.
The psychopath shows a consistent inability to make or follow any sort of life plan.

Hmmmmm.....

The Elle psycosis has left me speechless.

So Sam's a sore loser. While he was WH correspondent there must have been a dust up between Sam and Hellen.

How lucky is Diane Sawyer to have sqeeked out of hosting with Sam?!

Peter Jennings would feel threaten if Eminem was hired.

Now, politically, it's going to be Teresa Heinz Kerry, but I don't give a [bleep], you know?" she chuckles.

I knew this was going to be fun. :-)

The whiny twins
Sam and Peter
