Hey Gran,
Thought of you whilst flying over Iowa yesterday. It is always good to get home, isn't it!
I was coming from Phoenix, which was downright hot. Was in Santa Fe earlier in the week - snow still on the mountains. Almost every car had a "No War" sign. No wonder it's a haven for Hollyweird.
Cool weather here today - had to turn the heat on as the house stays so cool in the evenings. Glad you're finally done. Enjoy the gardening - E.

I haven't gotten to do much gardening. I had grand plans to garden this afternoon,,,, instead I took a nice long nap. I decided it was critical to rest up before embarking on a marathon gardening adventure.
I had an old high school classmate tell me about the Lib trend in Santa Fe. Your post verifies what he told me.
It wasn't all that warm here today, either. I heard the furnace kick in a little while ago. It didn't run long, but I can tell the difference.
Odd occurance here today: 2 (!!) TV's went the trip on the same day. The local hardware store owner/repairman had bypass surgery a week ago, and even getting a new one delivered will be out of the question for a few weeks. He has no male helpers. 3 farmwomen work parttime as clerks. The gals took turns opening up the store and running it while he was hospitalized,,, but none of them can deliver and hook up a TV. I may be out of touch for awhile.
