Considering the massive outcry on FR to the GOP's drug entitlement plan (a whopping 10 replies), and the general lack of interest and outrage of the issue, freepers have implied consent to the GOP's HillaryCare Lite v2.0. Seeing as how part of FR's mission statement is,

A return to a strictly Constitutional form of federal government will automatically repeal and abolish all unconstitutional federal involvement in states issues such as: crime, health, education, welfare and the environment. The Tenth Amendment will again be in effect, which will bar all federal attempts at legislating social issues. This will also require that social programs such as Social Security, welfare and Medicare be repealed. So too, will most federal subsidies

this lack of outrage from freepers is especially disgusting. If the Dems were in power and had proposed this, FR's servers would have crashed by now.

I think it sucks and our elected Repugs need to know that we think it sucks. I doubt it will do much good, they seem pretty happy to expand government & entitlements faster than the Dems ever did under Clinton.

I would like to echo the attitude of the first respondent. Perhaps other issues are taking priority at the moment, such as bubbling revolution in Iran, the problems in Israel, etc. A supposed "lack of outrage" isn't implicit support of socialized medicine, Mr. All-or-Nothing.

I personally feel that these policy makers will pass this stuff regardless of how many calls/letters are sent to them.

That's my point. This shouldn't even be considered by the Repubs. It should never make it off the table. Conservatives are fat and happy when R's get in office and they're just plain apathetic unless they have an enemy.
