Flipping through the channels to catch this, which I didn't...I landed on CMT watching a replay of the Country Music Awards. On screen pops up the message: "CMT has been advised that a replay of the Dixie Chicks performance will not be available."

Huh? Is there gonna be a fight? Mud wrestling? Battle of the bands? Or is it just a news story regarding their "differences of opinion."
Nice to hear that CMT edited-out Natalie and that obnoxious t-shirt during the CMA re-run.
Go Toby!!!

I just got through watching that.
Did you see what she said? That the FUTK shirt stood for Freedom, Undertanding, Tolerance and Knowledge? Yeah right.
All I can say is, the Dixie Chucks got what they deserved.

Maybe that should have been Freedom, Tolerance, Knowledge! Or maybe the Understanding should be first -- understanding the risks of freedom and the knowledge that freedom is not free and the repercussions of exercising that freedom.
FTUK, TUFK, FKTU, KUTF, FUKU, TOFU, FOFO, GTGN (Gotta go now, be back latter.

What a disgusting liar. Wish I got CMT. Thanks for letting me in on what happened. As for the letters FUTK, I'm with jonefab. Why the FU start? Typical lying Democrat.

You're welcome, here's some more info:
The show wasn't like a talk show or interview between the two of them, it was just a documentary of sorts about the conflicts that have happened between them, as seen from both sides.
Let me tell you, from all the segments that showed Maines, it's easy to see that she's the poster child for dumb blondes everywhere. Fake crying, fake smiling, true dumbness. It's enough to make you puke.
Like I said, it was pretty much a documentary, They interviewed others about the DCs and Toby Keith, but not the group itself or Toby Keith himself.
And one more thing just for trivia: On the Accadamy of Country Music Awards, though they didn't show the actual T-Shirt incident, the DCs were nominated for Entertainer of the Year. Well, Vince Gill was on the mike and when he read the Dixie Chick name, he said it really quiet, really quick and really muffled, so instead of "Dixie Chicks" it came out "Miffsie Miffs". The whole audience booed. When Toby Keith got the award, he got a standing ovation, though he had already left. It was fun to watch. Just an FYI.

So what's with the passive-aggressive Dixie Chicks...why don't they just come out and WRITE IT OUT in full on a tshirt. Lightweights...

NEWS - Toby Keith Takes High Road In Natalie Maines Controversy
06/24/2003
(6/24/03, 3 p.m. ET) -- CMT's new special, Natalie Vs. Toby: Both Sides Of The War, explores the ongoing war of words between Toby Keith and Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks. Keith tells LAUNCH the whole battle started when Maines put down his chart-topping 2002 hit, "Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue (The Angry American)."
"The first thing she did is criticize my music and the last thing I'll ever do is criticize somebody's music, so I'm not gonna sit here and be hypocritical and tell you that I think their music sucks or anything like that because that's not me," says Keith. "Even if I thought it did, I'd never say it to the press or the public."
Keith won't say exactly what he thinks about the Dixie Chicks as musicians, and he won't publicly support efforts to continue the on-going boycott of the group's music.
Keith adds that the impact of Maines' controversial behavior is something best left up to the fans and radio to decide. "She went dead-on and attacked my song right off the bat, and said it was ignorant," Keith adds. "[She] basically went right at me and that's somebody I've never even met, and I've heard other artists that have had the same kind of ridiculous stories of stuff she's done, so I'm just startin' to get to know her a little better than I did before. It's up to the fans and up to radio what they do with their (the Dixie Chicks) music. Believe me, I'm not big enough to make that call."
