Eureka! I have found the Gnomes' temporal link to our physical universe. Since most every Gnome cannot venture far from this nexus from its primal plane of existance, once this gate has been closed - the Gnome will be vanquished from our world. If you see one of these

in your neighbors yard or garden, they maybe harboring the creatures that have been plaguing Free Republic. These "balls" come in many colors and sizes but function just the same. Worse yet, you may have bee inadvertantly aiding and abetting these foul, diminutive creatures and their hulking Troll allies lay waste to our site and letting the Viking Kitties starve.

This cannot stand! Say no to Gazing Balls and Say Yes to Freedom! Long Live the Viking Kitties!
