I agree, honey.... I'm not rich, and I got a tax cut.

You should see how upset my mom is over it. She can't stand it that she makes more money than us, yet we are getting ALOT more money back. I had to promise to buy her and my dad an expensive meal when we get our check to calm her down.

Oh, I guess it's my turn to refute this latest nonsense.

Will the Bush administration ignore the huge, unexpected drop in consumer confidence reported for June?

Now, that's sophmoric! (see later comment by WJB.) The President and his advisors do not ignore any economic changes or significant statitstical changes. I'm no longer a GWB fan, but this is just silly.

Can it continue to gloss over the struggles of millions of U.S. families?

Every Presidential speech that covers the US economy mentions that fact that we are struggling and recovering. Are you not listening?

Bush now faces the worst employment growth record of any administration since Herbert Hoover's.

Okay, I'll buy that without checking. In the face of the dot-com bubble bursting (before he came into office), the 9-11 attacks, and the expected economic cycle downturn (the 80's and 90's were insanely successful... it can't last forever, sweetheart), this is not surprising.

And its "tax cuts for the rich will help us all" mantra has an undertone of "who cares about the rest of you?"

Um, YOU morons are the only ones calling it that. In case you hadn't noticed (or, more likely, are simply willfully ignorant), the tax cuts are for those who have paid taxes. Hint: those who don't buy a product don't get the rebate. Hint #2: those who aren't rich also pay taxes, and also are getting the rebate.

This administration really hasn't offered any workable strategies to lift the economy.

Really? Tax cuts, shifting policies on tariffs, and increased government spending (a Leftist favorite you should be enjoying this) are "nothing"? What else, exactly, CAN be done by government, other than an FDR-style infrastrusture push (which isn't needed and can't be afforded currently)?

The trickle-down strategy was deemed "voodoo economics" by Bush Sr.

And yet it led to the greatest economic expansion in decades. Look at the Dow Jones. From 1960-1983, it was stagnant (around 1000). From 1983-1995, it quadrupled. Label it what you want, I'd call it a succes.

The deficit strategy may bankrupt us.

Moronic. Note that the US government has run at deficit levels for most of our history. Now note that interest rates are at an all-time low. NOW is the BEST time to run at deficit levels, because the repayment of that debt is the smallest it has ever been!

Blaming Bill Clinton is just sophomoric.

Okay. I won't blame him. Ill just note that it is equally sophmoric to blame GWB for the same thing. Economic cycles do not answer to presidents. The 9-11 attacks were not his fault. The dot-com burst happened before he took office.

Will tax cuts result in the re-employment of nearly 3 million workers who have lost their jobs since George W. took over?

Eventually, yes. I'm sorry your child-like intellect cannot wait long enough for policies to take root and have an effect, but these things take time. You can't simply stamp your little toddler-feet and have jobs magically appear.

Nobody do the voodoo like he do

Sophmoric, to the last. Typical Dem. Accuse the opposition of doing what you are doing at that exact moment.
