Good morning, lysie! Pond report: Iris are doing quite well. The other plants are hanging in there, although they haven't shown any new growth yet. I still need to get rocks around the pond, but the type of rocks I wanted at Menard's were $4.98 EACH! No, no, no! I refuse to pay that much for rock! I am going to go to a stone center this weekend and see if I can get something a bit cheaper.

Well, does Dean have anything to say or is he just shouting as usual?
To: Miss Marple
:-)
Good morning. Your floating heart and water lily may take a while to take.....two seasons perhaps. If the iris do well you should have the prettiest yellow flower next season. The Sweet Flag will catch on next season, too.... I hope. :-)
That's a lot of money per stone...yikes!! We were fortunate to have an old stone building on our property AND one of Hubby's worksite was a creek bed with lots of flat stone.

You probably have that exactly right! HA!

Morning. I'm going to work soon, but will be back this afternoon.
Today is my oldest daughter's first day in high school. It's hard to send a shy girl like her into that jungle, but she seems happy and I know she'll do fine.

Re you tagline, if I may be so bold: "And good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing 'This'll be the day Saddam dies...'" ;^)
To: Mr. Mulliner
Well, I will say a prayer for her. It's hard whenever our children take another step closer to adulthood, because we worry about them so much.
To: Miss Marple
Now it turns out I won't be going to work this morning. I guess I've already had nearly all the training I'm going to get except for a few hours each day of sorting mail so will go in this afternoon.
On Saturday I have to run the whole route myself and that will be a big challenge as it's my first time.

I am so tired of all these stupid lawsuits....
...I'm turning off the TV and doing some housework....it keeps my blood pressure lower.
I was flipping the channels, and landed on NBC, ABC, CBS...one of those.
This guy, over 400 lbs, is suing McDonalds because they DIDN'T hire him...and he says he's being discriminated!!!
His lawyer thinks he has a good case!!
And then I read about this lady who is suing one of the well known hotel chains because she broke her ankle while treadmilling!
Gee, anyone can break anything treadmilling, if you don't do it properly!
I have a treadmill at home, and I'm extremely careful!
I am so sick of people looking for deep pockets.....it's hurting the rest of us!!!
I look for hotel, extended stays where there is a workout room, and appreciate it!
Because of greedy folks like her, they'll probably start closing them down!
And did you all see --(shoot, can't remember the FReepers name)...the thread on Hillary being on Leno.
I think it was DoughtyOne....thinks she's gearing up to run in 20004.
Oh mercy, do we have our work cut out for us!!!
