Our dogs are as healthy as can be. I've always fed them kibble along with either canned dog food or leftovers. The German Shepherd loves salad (no onion it it, of course). If there's a tomato in it, however, he will eat everything but the tomato.

One of my older friends told me she just gave her dog human food. Her dog lived until 15, and that breed only had a life expectancy of about 12.

These new fangled dog foods are corrupting people to thinking their dogs only need their dog food. It's all a lie.

We have Simba on urinary tract problems cat food. Simba hasn't had a urinary infection since I moved in. He now loves dog bones! He screams if I don't give him a dog bone. And he is fine with it.

Dry dog food came to be in about 1940, I think. What happened to dogs before that?

Now Miss Rika may disagree with me. Her dog lived to be, what, over 20 years old? She fed it special dog food.

I guess it comes down to what does your animal likes to eat. Dogs and cats can have allergic reactions to different foods just as humans do. So just like when your kids were beginning to eat baby food, you give them one different food at a time to see how they react to it.

my basement is FINISHED. done, finito. He finished grouting the backsplash on the wet bar this past weekend, and replaced the door to the cabinet that home depot kept sending the wrong one. i am guessing he wants his final installment on payment also. dang. hate paying for stuff. wish it was free. : )

the breeder told me that tomatoes were good for dogs and that it took the strong smell out of urine. i think the vets are right out of vet school, and talking the party line as far as food. the breeders and trainers have all worked with millions of dogs over the years, and they are the ones saying that you can give them meat. the breeder did tell me that carbs were hard for them to digest, so i steer clear of those, but my family doesn't eat leftovers so the dog might as well. We went to a nice steakhouse for my birthday, just xshub and i. the portions are humungous. we asked for xshub's remaining steak and Lucius had that thing cut into fine pieces mixed with his food over a week period! he was loving that.

they don't like the ricotta cheese, they would eat the rest of it. xsteen doesn't like cheese period. she is a weirdo. i told her, her life would be much simpler if she would just get over it and start eating cheese.
