My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Nay, thou are no chicken.
Thou art skilled with words.

The toungue He said,
Is like the rudder of a ship.
Words like your shadow, ever with you
Can be seen, when the light is shone
Better, not to utter words
That will later make you groan.
To: Rhyminsimon
True so true poet
as a two edged sword
and a life time to forget.
So some write in rhyme
and riddle sublime
to cover eons of time
and fractured hearts
held together
by moon beams
and thyme.

My back yard
(Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?)
To: bentfeather
Back into the dream
I allow myself to descend
Into the land of fairies
Wood nymphs, with you my friend
Look! A Unicornm I think I see
I will be a dragonfly too
If that is the price I must pay
To have an adventure with you
Come, fair dragonfly dame
Let us take off together
Into the night sky
This is no game
Alright,whats that
Some engine trouble I fear
It is the sound of consciousness
It sadly appears
But, resolute, that reality
Shall not wake me yet
I go further in to this dream
And fly like a jet
I can now see the orbs
Orange, purple and green
And many new colors
I have never before seen
Come closer my love
Let us fly so close abreast
That when you are tired
I can carry you and you can rest
Nuzzling your probiscus
Behind the shell of my head
If this flight ever ends
Ill wish I was dead
To: bentfeather
Returning from our tour
of the universe we glide
down through the clouds
and up to your gate we stride
We stand close, in communion
Saying good night at your gate
Then you offer me the couch
Saying I should not fly home so late
Just then, my ladybug friend
Out of the blue appears
And says to you, Homewrecker
Through her flood of tears.
I say but my little lady bug
You know youre the only one
I try to defend my position
But I'm feeling quite undone
But of course, the lady bug
She does not really exist
Just a part of the poem;
Trying to add a new twist

My Dragon Fly and Me II
My Dragon Fly and Me
how we do love to fly
in darkest night sky
Just me and my Dragon Fly
brushing close to those we love
in silence and hold a treasure trove
of gems and jewels wrapped
in velvet black and satin blue
trimmed in gold
a night time pleasure
held in place by unseen
antique lace
whirling as a planet old
in a color world fore told
by the brave and bold
sons of men - orcales old
coated in cold hoar
and faceless beings
spreading wings of gossamer
and creepy things
with tiny wings and
little stingers like
a scorpion that sings
oh yes, my dragon fly and me
really do get to see
to flash our color for all to see
wonders of the universe in me
Rhyminsimon... come with me...
and let me rest my head
on thy breast
surely I have passed the test
to fly at night solo or
with my company...

So here I sit,
Feeling, not very cool
I went out on a limb
And danced like a fool
The limb is breaking
I think I hear the sound
I have an uneasy feeling
Looking down at the ground
Maybe it is now I shoud
extricate my self with care
Bid your thread good bye
And get out of your hair
But wait! Then you write such words
Painting velvet pictures in my head
I cannot yet tear myself away
From this Dragons Lair thread
To: Rhyminsimon
So stay a while and write
of your flight
nar be fearful of the lair
or the silver hair
and stay in the tree
if it pleases thee
or skip down to me
on the ground
readying up the dragon fly
for night
If you sit on the limb
I will guide him
to swoop you up
here with me
sitting high and sitting free
just my dragon fly and me
Truth be told for centuries
about gossamer webs
and things in
sparkling space
and placing diamonds
on my face
leaving this plane
for one where I can
become one
with my special dear

I wrote this yesterday, perhaps I should entitle it:
"The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, and the Inane"
The clock struck
The moon rose
I thought of you
And wiggled my toes
That did not come out right
Something else, another way
Might toward me
Your heart sway
Roses are red
Violets are blue
No thats so old
And over used.
In your eyes
I see the sparkles
Of the sun
As they dance on the sea
The sparkles in your eyes
Like sunlight dancing on the sea
Just like the earth pulls the moon
Your eyes are pulling me
Looking into your eyes
Mine, knock upon the door
Silkily, You say come in
I come and ever leave no more
As I gaze , past the gates
Your eyes, I go ever further in
I know that I want to linger
And ever more reside within
As I gaze into your eyes and
You pull me through the gates
I am drawn ever deeper in
Where eternal destiny awaits
There is no turning back
I am now, without a rudder
Lost and tossed upon the sea
The pleasure makes me shudder

You think so? Thanks!
To: bentfeather
With each time,
I read your new words
A silence afterward echos
The images and the intent Wondering what it
Meant what you said
There are questions
But no answers needed
As we ride
on the wings of a
Magic Dragon Fly
The answers important
maybe down there
But up here, It is free
Dashing from star to star
The answers matter not
There is not even one care
Up here, drifting in space,
And no cares
In the Dragons lair

Dashing from star to star

There is not even one care
Up here, drifting in space,
And no cares
In the Dragons lair
I go not for analysis
of a poem
a poem thick with rich
and alive images
is all that is needed
what does it do for you
does it move your soul
does it color your night
from dark to bright
does it shine like
a sparkling sky
does it rhyme, no,
tell me why
When I dance a poets dance
filled with rich dreamy romance
traveling in outspace
in a fanthom world
yet alive and real
holding fantasy to surreal
in tight grip
always ready for a trip
to planets afar and away
stopping in the Milky Way
playing hide and seek
with a comets tail
oh it's grand....
leaving the land...

Well, now that you put it like that...
Really beautiful stuff you have written. Your words have moved me in more than one way.
You have taken away my reason to rhyme.
I will have to get back to you in time.
To: Rhyminsimon
Thanks so much for the lines today. You do very well indeed.
