As night descends on this confused soul

The stars light a heart that was dark as coal.

The world passes by my window full of life and song

But my wings have been broken, my world is gone.

And this void that I feel was once full of zest

Is now a great bottomless pit known as emptiness.

Where is the love that once made me smile

Gave me a sense of purpose, my original style.

Where is the spark that made my heart beat

That turned my mere flame into an unbearable heat.

Where is the desire that brought out my best

That's changed my life and brought the emptiness.

Invisible I've lived, awaiting to be seen

For someone to look beyond the walls, repair these broken wings.

Well, Michael Milkin and a lot of other very smart people ended up in prison. G. Gordon Liddy is one of the most brilliant I've heard on the radio. He had a classical education with Franciscans or some other Catholic order. He ended up in the slammer.
