I confess to a bit of anxiety myself. I keep telling myself that Bush is NOT stupid and he has his father's real-life experience on how a popular wartime leader can suddenly and totally fall from the charts -- but he is not doing any of the things that I would do to turn things around. Why? Or more appropriately, why not?
He has good help. He is not too proud to take advice. His cabinet is packed with brainpower...
I just don't know. I really want to believe that he is saving his ammo. I hope to hell that this is part of a carefully thought out strategy that is designed to avoid peaking too soon. I do indeed hope so because right now, it looks like that if Hillary jumps in, it will be a photo-finish and he might lose.
And, deep inside, I know that the Hildebeast WILL jump in. Ther promise to New ork may has well been written on water for all it is worth.
The uneasy feeling in my gut is not going away.
