Arnold seems to be pulling away. But Davis is running negative ads and Hillary says Arnold is a right winger and we should be afraid, very afraid, lol. Arnold has produced a bunch of positive ads, don't know if he has some negative ones tucked away "just in case" or not.

Here is a long article about the whole thing...the first part is really fun reading, the author interviewed Gray Davis's neighbors and NO ONE likes him...really, nobody. He is one strange duck but Warren Beatty says we should give him a break as he had an alcoholic abusive father.

Yes, Mr. M is running the marathon at 8 a.m. Sunday (10/12). Now that I review our schedule, it looks like we will be quite busy. Our first free time won't come till Sun. afternoon after the race, looks like, and I never know how Mr. M is going to feel after a marathon (sometimes energetic, sometimes completely exhausted). Oh well, maybe we can work something out at a later date.

I'm afraid it is going to be a cold winter up here. I like to froze to death last night but remained determined not to switch the heat on. Did have to close the bedroom window, though - it was way too chilly! Hope we get a lot of snow.

I cranked up the furnace yesterday morning. I'm not sorry I did it. Toasty warm here. 52 outside at Noon.

The only real reason I held out is that I'd have to go down to the basement and flip all the little "thingys" over to heat in the ventilation system. Well, that and the fact that I think it'll warm up by the weekend. Of course until then, I'm in sweats in the evening. I have a waterbed, so I'm toasty warm once I'm there! Of course, I have to fight the cat for space.
