Some one asked me if I could write greeting card poems this morning so I wrote these two.

Get Well Soon

I hope you’re feeling better now,
With all the cutting done.
Lying there in bed is tough,
I know it isn’t fun.
But now it’s done and you’ll get well,
And back to things that matter.
I’m glad the doctors fixed you up,
But what is a gall bladder.

Cataracts

I’m glad you’re seeing better now,
But surgery seems silly.
I guess I’m just a simpleton,
A dummy, a hillbilly.
It seems to me if you can’t see,
The Cataract is nill.
I’d trade that gashogg in right now,
And get an Oldsmobile.
