Earth to pro-Putin "freepers".....go to the BBC article....read the last three paragraphs....and then even you guys will be able to understand that Putin's comments were a DIRECT Challenge and potential threat to the United States......
He talks of land-based missiles, he talks of evasion of Strategic Defenses.....catch a clue guys....old enemies die hard....its time to start realizing its not 1992 anymore...Russia is back in the strategic game and we better start acting accordingly....

Since we have global reach I am sure just about every country has at least a rough draft of an anti-US plan of operations.Russia's nuclear posture statements of today are very similar to NATO's from the 1960-70s, when we thought that the Godless Atheistic Communist Horde would simply overrun Western Europe in a conventional war.
In other words...Russia thinks that they're the weaker player in this scenario.
