3rd Schwarzenegger/Ventura Movie? (vanity)
me
Posted on 10/08/2003 1:35:41 PM PDT by Xthe17th
Jesse "The Body" was on Hardball last night and corrected Chris Matthews who said something about the two movies governors Ventura & Arnold had been in together. Jesse's response to Chris, "It's three films", so he would know. Help me out here FReepers; I can only think of two: "I ain't got time to bleed" Predator, and the appropriately named Running Man. What's the third Jesse Ventura/Arnold Schwarzenegger movie?

Just an observation, but after actor turned politician Ventura governed Minnesota, the gopher state got a conservative US Senator (Norm Coleman). Could it happen again? Tom McClintock for US Senate!!

Chrissy Matthews made Jesse look like a FOOL last night. Jesse is a jackass Democrat who HATES Arnold...or maybe is just jealous!!

I beleive it was Batman Forever, but good old Jesse's part was a good cameo. He got kissed by Poison Ivy...

Batman and Robin Arnold plays Mr. Freeze, and Jesse plays a guard (In the scene where Mr. Freeze is captured and has to stand under that cold ray)
Yes, I know this is a tacit admission that I have seen the movie, please don't hold it against me...

Batman & Robin (1997) is the correct answer.

When I saw Jesse with the sunglasses on I just turned the channel...jealousy on Jesse's part pure and simple. Jesse is last years news and he can't stand it.

OK so I got the movie wrong, but after the first two and Clooney becoming Batman, can I really be blamed?

I'm pretty sure Ventura wasn't in Commando. His "I'm Independent" schtick is sooooo over with.

If there is real antagonism, then Jesse is jealous that Arnold is smarter, richer, more intelligent, better looking, etc. The fact that Arnold came into office on a landslide might be a factor too. Jesse squeeked in on a threeway split - like another slimeball we all know.
Jesse is about Jesse is about Jesse is about Jesse.

That is correct. I think he was still big in wrestling when Commando came out andyways. He never was an independent he was an absolute dumba$$

Ventura was a Navy SEAL. Show some respect for our vets, if you don't mind.
To: fortaydoos
Actually, he was an underwater demolitions person, a "Frogman". Same training, but he wasn't a SEAL. Still more hardcore than I was, by a long shot!

It must be the movie where Arnold sticks Ventura's head in the toilet and flushes! Oh wait, that's Arianna! I'm so confused over who is more jealous of Arnold.

Norm Coleman
Norm Coleman is an ex-Democrat, actually, and a little too "moderate" for my tastes. He was a pretty decent mayor. Overall, I'm pretty happy, and a little pleasantly surprised with his service so far. Who knows, maybe something similar will happen with Arnold...
We also managed to elect a Republican governor shortly thereafter too. Another strange feat in this state I like to refer to as California-Lite.

Minnesota is California . . . on the rocks.
To: fortaydoos
No, Ventura was NOT a SEAL. He was, according to all I've read and heard here in Minnesota, a UDT qualified diver. He has never been certified by the folks that check up on these things. On top of that, he is marvelously evasive about any of his service record. On top of that, I have nothing but respect for veterans - for their service. Ventura served, honorably, and I credit him with that.
The service record, though, has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that Ventura is a crass, greedy, self serving nit-wit. Ask any Minnesotan conservative on this board (yes, we do exist) and you'll get the same answer. For much of the same reasons, I hold Kerry, McCain and others in contempt for their policies and performances. Not all who serve remain honorable.
