Humphreys is nearly unknown? I thought he was the mayor of the biggest city in the state?

He should be about as well known as Brad Carson, and leads so far 41-38, with some but not THAT much urban/rural split.

Far from me, a guy in PA, to comment on OK politics. However, I read an article which quoted Istook as saying that wasn't convinced Humphreys could win on account of his attempt to raise taxes.

It seams that this GOP leaning-state has an unusually weak field of republican candidates after all the big dogs (Istook, Watts) bowed out. Now ther're forced to fall back to thier second and third tier choices while the democrats have the strongest candidate they could have possibly recruited. I'm not saying that the RATS have a good shot at winning, but this race will be much closer than it should have been.
