Nathan Tabor is A Young Jesse Helms -- 5th District, NC
National Liberty Journal ^ | Dec/Jan Newsletter | Dr. Jerry Falwell

Dr. Jerry Falwell, Publisher, National Liberty Journal

I'm taking the unusual step of informing our readers about one very special 30-year-old candidate for Congress in North Carolina. His name is Nathan Tabor. Son of an ordained Baptist minister, a committed Christian active in his local church, a dynamic young leader – I am convinced Nathan Tabor is a young champion who can make a true difference for our values in Washington.

That’s why I recently committed to Nathan that I will pray for him and personally assist his campaign. While the actual election is one year away, and our ministries cannot support the candidacy of any prospective leader, I am personally, as one tax-paying citizen, very excited that such a fine young man feels the call of God to run for the North Carolina 5th Congressional seat in the U. S. House of Representatives.

Nathan Tabor has helped build a successful family business in Kernersville, N.C. Revival Soy has over 130 employees and is one of the fastest growing businesses in western North Carolina.

More importantly though, Nathan Tabor is a committed Christian – active in his local church and dedicated to serving God through his time, talents and energy.

Nathan and his family have long been strong supporters of conservative faith-based organizations like Tim and Beverly LaHaye’s Concerned Women For America. Nathan has worked hard on evangelistic outreach efforts in his community through the Harvest Crusade and a community men’s Bible study.

On the issues, Nathan Tabor is a rock-solid conservative – unflinchingly pro-life, for lower taxes, strongly supportive of traditional family values and for a strong national defense. Nathan Tabor will go to Congress and stand with President Bush.

Nathan is running in an open seat Republican primary and the primary election will be held next spring.

For information on this young man, contact Nathan’s campaign at www.nathantaborforcongress.com, or e-mail Nathan directly at Nathan@taborforcongress.com.

Beat me to it, TaxRelief!

cbess_61,

I have never received any of the other mailings from Tabor. Your posting referring the TABOR plan mailer and the 2nd Amendment mailer are the first I've heard of them. I would love to see them.

Good points. I guess he could be making all this up. If so, for a 30 year old kid he sure has pulled the wool over alot of people's eyes. From my understanding even Vernon's own pastor is on his steering committee. The pastor introduced Nathan at two services.

So, either way -- the kid has something about him that others like.

I have no problem with Vernon either. I have been to his website and agree with him 100%

I believe Congressional seats have to achieve a plurality (40%).

If not, they fall under the regular runoff rules which are so complicated you need a masters in political science to understand them. I would say a runoff in NC5 is just about assured.

Yes, 40% plus one to win -- unless the primary is pushed to September. Then it is a winner take all situation.

In this same thread, you claimed you reside in the 3rd District of NC, but then told a resident of the 5th District that you know the mail he's been sent by the snake oil salesman (Nathan Tabor). Why don't you just come clean and fess up that you're an employee of soyboy's campaign? You should demote yourself to a lurker if you're going to be dishonest with us.

I am glad you can read. I said I called his office and he sent me his mailers. Nice try. However, when you don't lie it's easy to keep the facts straight.

Go ahead and admit you work for another candidate. You are the one who just signed on and made this post.

I haven't said I was supporting anyone. I even said I agreed with Vernon 100%

TROLL please leave this thread!!!

TROLL -- go away!

You can ask Jim Robinson how long conservativegadfly has been registered (more than six months). Your propensity for speaking out of ignorance remains uninterrupted. In case you're curious, I had to reregister with a new password today because I lost my saved password and Jim could resend it to only my old email address.

"Is there, or is there not a run-off in NC...Is the target 40 something % or 50% to avoid one?"

Congressional primaries in NC go on to a run-off between the top 2 finishers if no one gets at least 40% of the vote. In 1992, current Republican Congressman Walter Jones, Jr. would have been elected to the House as a Democrat in the black-majority 1st CD had there not been a 40% requirement---he led the RAT primary with 38%, but Eva Clayton beat him in the run-off.

Hopefully Vernon Robinson will finish in the top 2 in the 5th CD GOP primary and go on to victory in the run-off.

I am a young Jesse Helms. Cloned and raised in a test tube.

I am also Chinese (Taiwan family origin, but ethnically Chinese).

And I have a broken ankle.

Hello, Mrs. Gadfly!

Glad Jim was able to help you get back on line. Loved the "Daly report" by the way.

Can't Jim change your sign-on date somehow? I hate to think about you getting Newbie-abuse.

Are the three related? I'm sorry that your test tube origins resulted in your broken ankled Chinese-ness.

: )

Are you really Chinese? I had no idea. Are your family Republicans, too, or are you the oddball?

This kid knows everyone!

I am shocked to see him with Ed Meese -- http://www.taborforcongress.com/images/cnp9.jpg -- and Alan Keyes. I hear Alan Keyes is coming to the 5th District for Nathan. Is this true?

I called his office to ask about these connections. Ed Meese is coming to Charlotte on January 29th as a special guest of Nathan's for a fundraiser.

Sadly, I am not a Chinese clone of Jesse Helms. But I do have a broken ankle. And I'm Taiwanese in spirit.

And yes, my family is Republican, although some members stray occasionally to vote for Jonathan Carter types (don't ask).

Just checking...
