Well, this story sure beats mine! One of the local high schools gave a civics assignment for the students to visit one or the other of the local political campaign headquarters to observe and see what was going on. To prove they'd been there they needed bring in a flier or bumper sticker or sign. Well, seems the enterprising students decided to bypass the headquarters and go straight to the signs. From peoples yards!! Quite a number of them from what I understand. The signs have all been returned to the respective headquarters and the 30 year traditional assignment is being "reevaluated".

Hey aj... I did a 17-hour gig as an election judge in my Minneapolis suburb. While on greeter duty I had a guy come up and ask for an GOP election judge. I told him I was it. He then proceeded to lament about someone stealing all of his and his neighbors Bush/Cheney yard signs in daylight the day of the election.

It didn't come from anyone in an official capacity within my precinct, that's for sure.

I told him your story to make him feel better. He actually said he heard it from somewhere.
