Responding to leftist election theories

Posted on 11/06/2004 10:50:55 PM PST by Kickass Conservative

After reading the opinion pages of my local newspaper, the Orange County Register, I sent the following letter to the editor. Hopefully, it will get published. I will assume you all have seen letters in your local papers from the whining liberals blaming religion for the re-election of President Bush. They just don't get it.

I read through the tirade of letter writers in your November 6, 2004 opinion pages and was amazed how so many people got it wrong. This election was not won because of religious extremists, it was won because the Democrats ran a candidate with no core and no values. Simply put, the anti-America liberals had a candidate who exposed their leftist agenda, instead of hiding it behind a Clintonian facade.

It was no accident that that same sex marriage bans not only passed overwhelmingly in nine "Red" states, but also passed overwhelmingly in two "Blue" states. If the logic of those who try to blame the "Jesus Freaks" for robbing their out of step candidate of his Presidential birth right held true, President Bush would have won well over 300 Electoral votes. I'm sorry to tell you compassionate liberals that most Americans do not support Partial Birth Abortion, the erosion of Parental Abortion Notification Laws, Same Sex Marriage, appeasement when dealing with Terrorists and Dictators, Liberal Judges, Socialism and the seditionist undermining of our troops and Commander In Chief in wartime.

As I said before on the pages of this newspaper, Republicans think people are smart, but Democrats know people are stupid. After the results of this election, I am revising that statement. Republicans KNOW people are smart, but Democrats THINK people are stupid.

Thanks for the compliments. I just hope it gets published. I can't keep screaming at the breakfast table while I read the paper. My wife is getting very concerned. hahaha

We've agreed that I should go to my "special place" while reading the paper for that same reason. Well done.

Republicans KNOW people are smart, but Democrats THINK people are stupid.

Allow me to offer a more accurate portrayal:

Conservatives know that there are smart people and stupid people, good people and evil people; Conservatives are realists.

Liberals think that they are smart and good, and everyone else is stupid or evil; Liberals are self-elitists who refuse to face reality.

One certainly does not have to be a "Jesus Freak" to be-
lieve that the American culture is going to hell in a hand-
basket. It may not be fair to blame the Democrat party for
this but it is obvious to many that too few Democrat lead-
ers spend much time speaking out against the tasteless and
foul aspects of pop culture.

When the wife of the last Democrat presidential candidate
criticized movie industry smut she was compelled to seek
forgiveness from the Hollywood types who provide money and
support to the Democrat cause. That says something.

Amen! The current commiecratic party will not understand your letter. It is too logical for them. They are ELITISTS. As elitists they can't understand us little "red state" people and as long as they can not understand us they will keep losing national elections in addition to statewide elections. And that is a good thing!

Asking a Democrat to consider that, in fact, the world doesn't revolve around their narrow viewpoints is like asking that the laws of physics not apply to one's fat bottom in lycra.

Well I guess the Dems need someone to blame their loss on as they do not believe in personal responability they can't see that they need to start using that left guard. It's not that America is that religious but America is not low life enough to sell baby parts for profit. This deal where the abortion industry is trying to sell it's by-products to the government in the name of stem cell research is a no sell to an honest thinking person, as we just don't need to scavage body parts or suck the blood from the innocent in order to live.
