State Sen. Gilbert Baker, R-Conway, took off from Conways Cantrell Field Thursday morning en route to media appearances in Little Rock, Jonesboro, Texarkana, Fort Smith and Fayetteville as part of his campaign for the U.S. Senate seat occupied by incumbent Democrat Sen. Blanche Lincoln.
Baker was speaking during stops in these cities on health care reform and his opinion that government-administered health care will lead to higher costs, reduced quality and limited patient choice.
On. Nov. 19 Baker is scheduled to hold a $1,000-per-person fundraiser at the National Republican Senatorial Committees headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Baker’s campaign shows great promise and he consistantly polls strongly against Blanche Lambert Lincoln.
Sounds good. Is he or she a conservative? Blanche Lincoln has to be very worried.
I bet she is more afraid of him than Moveon.org
As far as I know, Gilbert Baker is a conservative.
Okay. I googled Gilbert Baker, and what I got was a bunch of articles on the gay guy who designed the rainbow flag. Only few refer to the state senator from Arkansas.
How does Coleman fare against Lincoln. Coleman is the Huckabee endorsed candidate.
LOL
Last I saw all her second tier opponents surprisingly lead her.
As an aside it’s funny to see democrats named Lincoln win office in the south. Lincoln Davis too.
