Out of the candidates I see listed as currently running Marlin Stutzman is the most viable.
A higher tier candidate would be better.
I wish one of the statewide office holders would run.
Todd Rokita the SOS is up this year and term limited. The LT Guv, AG, and Education Superintendent wouldn’t have to risk their offices to run. I don’t know much about the records of any of them though.
In Indiana, the perception is that Evan Bayh is unbeatable statewide, except possibly by Mitch Daniels, who isn’t interested. That is true normally, though next year may produce an environment that’s out of the ordinary.
