Haven’t looked at any governor candidates yet. Looking to give all my support to getting Steve Pearce back in Congress.

However, whoever is elected can not be another Richardson clone — his environmental rules are decimating the oil/gas industry down here in the oil patch. I’ve been in the business long enough to know where skeletons on both sides are buried and industry candy-coating issues are crap. On the other hand, most companies are trying to both do their jobs and protect the environment. But guess what happens and gets left behind when no-nothing bureaucrats just pile more new regulations and paperwork on staff??

It’s been a few years since I’ve talked with Pete Jr. He’s very personable and I think he’d make a good public official. However, I think running the first time for governor would be a little over his head and he should start elsewhere. OTOH, I’d love to see him run for his Dad’s seat against Bingaman or maybe Udall in 2014.
