Brown can restore balance to an unbalanced SenateText Size: A | A | A Print this Article Email this Article ShareThis January 09, 2010 A vote for Scott Brown Jan. 19 can be one of the most important votes of our lives.
Scott is a conservative voice for fiscal sanity who believes taxes are too high and government is too large. Scott can be the 41st vote against pending legislation that may not be in the best interests for residents of Massachusetts. A vote for Brown gets closer to a two-party legislative body that allows spirited discussions and helps eliminate enactment of immature legislation: a process not enjoyed now given the current 60/40 party mix.
While not perfect, Massachusetts health care plans are arguably the best in the nation, yet pending health care reform initiatives can seriously erode these plans. Brown joins the majority who oppose this legislation (52 percent, Rasmussen poll) because its bad for Massachusetts.
Brown supports tort reform in health care, competition across state line for insurers and equality in tax treatment of individual and employer health insurance plans. He supports a strong national defense and has committed 30 years of his life to a military career.
I suggest you vote for Scott Brown, a free-market advocate who believes our strength as a nation flows from its people.

Wow....
Is that an endorsement from the paper itself? Or a letter to the editor?
My aunt worked for this paper for years..
Is this a conservative paper?
I wouldn’t think so since Cape Cod is one of the biggest spots for lesbians to vacation.
I think what they must mean here is that it is not yet the FUBAR fuster cluck which ObaMaoCare will turn out to be from the get-go.
ps: my vote is 35 bucks.
The Boston Globe endorsed Scott Brown.
The Boston Globe HAS NOT endorsed Martha Cokely.
Circulation.... about 50,000.
Scott Brown ping
They haven’t? Seriously?
Prior to the primary, the Boston Globe endorsed Scott Brown and Alan Khazei for United States Senate. Khazei lossed in his race with Kookley, so if anybody who follows the Globe takes their endorsements to heart, they should vote for Scott... the only candidate still in the race that they endorsed for "Ted's Seat".
NICE!!! Thank you for pointing this out!
This is not an editorial by the newspaper’s editorial board, it’s just a letter from a reader.
I hope so, too!
