Im from Nevada. I know we must replace Senator Reid. Our Primary is June 8th. Who is the better choice, Lowden or Tarkanian? Which one does the Tea Party endorse?
I live in Reno and my vote goes for Susan!!
Also a LVer, I’ve heard/read that Lowden actually gave money to Reid as some time in the recent past.......if true, she is a POS, contrary to her “conservative” bona fides that she pitches in the radio ads on KXNT!
I wish some Nevadan can prove/disprove this factoid.
Lowden is definitely easier on the eyes!
My vote would go to Lowden.
I listened to Tarkanian on the radio one night with Laura Ingram and he was absolutely useless.
Laura kept trying to get him to answer why people should vote for him instead of Lowden. He couldn’t come up with an answer except for the regular political spin.
I don’t know much about her but I was not impressed with him at all.
Don’t we have enough chicks in Washington, already?
Why post a negative that can't be proven? Perhaps there is actually a preference for Tark and negative rumors are being spread?
Negative tactics?

I heard that Danny Tarkanian, supposed real estate agent, did some deals for Reid. Can anyone, please, prove this is false?

Well, instead of being silly, why don’t you post something of value to disprove what I have read or heard......don’t remember source but I have definitely heard/read this......maybe right here on FR........seems you are a “See No Evil about Lowden” fan.
At this moment, I am not committed to anyone.......persuade me with facts not with silly remarks.
1) Sue Lowden was critical of Sen Reed for not bringing in enough earmarks for Nevada.
- Danny Tarkanian ewants to eliminate earmarks from federal gov alotgether.
2) Sue Lowden supported TARP and the 2 bailouts
- Danny has stated his opinion clearly against these federal bailout and buyout policies.
3) Danny Tarkanian against the advise of his own campaign manager researched and recommened the moving forward of Yucca mountain into a nuclear waste recycling facility, showing other countires ability to recycle 95% of waste to re-usable fuel. This plant could immediately employ thousands of workers, shoot UNLV to a world leading reasearch facility and move our country forward towards energy independence.
Danny is a true fiscally conservative Republic. The exact kind of Senator we need.
as far as Im concerned, Sue Lowden is a RINO with liberal Republican ideals straight from the McCain camp.
Danny Tarkanian is where your vote and support needs to go if you want true conservatism back in the government.
Plus, he’s stated clearly that he is ready to take the EPA head on.
A man with conviction based on conservative ideals.
cmon fred, that’s a bit of a silly stretch dontcha think?
A $300 contribution 16 years ago and a $950 contribution 12 years ago?
I believe Danny’s mom is in politics and if Im not mistaken in the democrat party (sorry if Im wrong). So yah, there may have been a request for a favor or two alon the way in the past. But this type of contribution, even if true, doesnt change the fact that today Danny is a hard line Constitutionalist conservative Republican. We are allowed to change what / whom we support, esp given we’re talking relatively small dollars and a fairly long time ago.
Reality: LAS VEGAS REVIEW JOURNAL/Oct. 1, 2009 (Lowden) former Reid supporter ... In the 1980s she and her husband, casino owner Paul Lowden, donated $8,000 to Reid over several election cycles.
RECORD COURIER/Jan. 15, 2010 Describing Nevada as a center right state, Republican Senate front-runner Sue Lowden says she will replace Harry Reid in the U.S. Senate by appealing to a broad spectrum of Nevadans, not just a few groups on the right. She said she supported Reid in the past when, he was a blue dog Democrat.
NOTE: Blue Dog Democrat is a term referencing members of the Blue Dog Coalition. The coalition began in 1994 during the 104th Congress. The Blue Dog Coalition describes itself as a group of moderate-to-conservative Democrats committed to financial and national security, favoring compromise and bipartisanship over ideology and party discipline. There is no evidence or records showing that Harry Reid was ever a part of the Blue Dog Coalition.
