Which make and model is the .44?

The article mentions it was made in New Joisey - I think it might be a Henry.

Damn a friend of mine has an early Ruger 44 mag carbine, kind of a stepped up 10/22, nice piece of machinery.

I’m with you, my first thought was brand, action type etc.:)I wish I could get a speaking fee of a .44 mag rifle, I have always wanted a .44 mag carbine and should have bought one when Ruger was selling their carbine.
