Former Lt. Gov. Mark Singel, who ended his bid Thursday to replace fellow Democrat John Murtha as Pennsylvania 12th District's representative in Congress, has endorsed Mark Critz for the seat. Critz is Murtha's former district director.

I would have thought Singel would have higher name recognition than Critz — then again, I’ve been away from PA for some time.
It would appear Singel’s name will not remain on the ballot for the primary - filing deadline is March 9. I’m a bit surprised the Pubs are having their nominating convention after the filing deadline.
That might have been his problem :-)
