First of all, when a politician loses election, it is first and foremost his fault. Second, I'm tired of RINOs blaming others for the results of their own actions. RINOs are weasels. Third, the difference between a GOP going is a socialist direction and the Democrats moving us in a socialist direction, is that when the Democrats do it, we have bigger and better opposition. The destination is the same, whether RINO or Democrat, maybe the RINOs take a bit longer. But it doesn't make any difference.

If we can't vote against Republicans, how do we hold them accountable? Just wondering. If GOP elected officials have our votes in their pockets, what actions will they take?

Mark Kirk is a pro-gun-control scum bag.

Voting for him is nuts.

“You didn’t like the Republican version of dealing with illegal immigration, now you are going to get the Dem version, with “path to citizenship”. I hope you are happy.”

The Republican version is the same as the Democrat version. The last big one was McCain-Kennedy. I’m sure the next one will be Graham-(insert scumbag).

These Libertarians and 100% Pures would rather have
Obama taking over the Banks, General Motors, Health Care,
and more along with his full steam ahead Immigration agenda
not to mention his Marxist czars
than a Republican.

I voted for the RINO because he was the lessor of two evils. So you want a slow train to hell and others want to get there quicker, no difference really, you all get there eventually. John McCane lost because he’s jack shit, politically speaking, we all knew it. Ya, some sat it out, but wouldn’t have if the party had to guts to push somebody more like a Paul Ryan. Anyway, the circular firing squad will end soon, we’ll see where we stand then and hopefully can move more positively into the future.

The RNC doesn’t select candidates.
Last I checked we have a system of various people of all stripes running in primaries.
Some are open primaries that democrats can vote in.

“I voted for the RINO because he was the lessor of two evils. “

Then “if the shoe DOESN’T fit, don’t wear it”.

YOU are NOT the problem.

We ended up with McCain, because the conservatives allowed Fred Thompson to flirt with them, to stop Giuliani’s momentum, who was the only one who had a chance against Obama. So now we have Obama with Pelosi and Reid. I hope all those people are happy, but they never see how they contributed to the current situation.

Sad, but true. Obama is getting ready to take over the financial industry, without any Republican support, reverse the SCOTUS decision about campaign finance, take over our schools, give amnesty and “path to citizenship” to illegals, so they can get insurance, paid for it by us, taxpayers.

... UNLESS we stop them — unite in November against the Democrats.

Now, the Campaigning Begins

Not only did Guiliani have no momentum, he was and is an anti-Constitution thug.

I went to the caucuses in my state last election. I'm familiar with the process and the same people who spew this “conservatives are to blame” crap are the same people that selected McCain.

I noticed the older voters supported McCain, because he was old. People seem to only support those they identify with instead of looking at their credentials.

The process of selection is broken in some parts of the country and it's up to RNC leadership to fix it. In my mind McCain should have never been given an (R) to put next to his name in the first place. The hate he spews toward conservatives should have stripped him of eligibility.

I was aware of politics as a kid in the 1950s
and more aware in school in the early 1960s and worked at Reagan’s headquarters when he first ran for gov.
Have been active in following politics and World Affairs
since 1960.

There are some areas I disagree with McCain, but also agree
with his stand against ObamaCare Also his understanding
that we must win the war against the IslamOfascists.

There is a mistake with the views and definitions of Conservatives and Libertarians.
Conservatives believe in a strong national defense and believe when war has been declared on America and our
country has been attacked, we fight the enemy before they
destroy our country.

Libertarians such as Ron Paul believe in bunker think.
Ron Paul has stated, Iran and North Korea are not a threat.
Leave Iran alone. He voted against condemning Ahmadinejad.
Iran , North Korea, Hugo Chavez of Venz. and other enemy contries are working together along with Russia working
on Nuclear weapons, etc.
America can be it in 30 minutes by nuclear missiles.
Libertarian Ron Paul believes this is no problem
but rants on against Israel which can be seen and heard on youtube.
Libertarian Ron Paul believes we were attacked because we are “Imperial America” and occupiers. (Same views of the Marxists)
Ron Paul receives most of his support and money from 9/11
Truthers along with lunatic Alex Jones and Lew Rockwell.

Though I may disagree with some of McCain’s views, there is a mind set to set him up as the boogie man by the Libertarians especially that McCain is a strong supporter for the war against the IslanOfascists while the Libertarians are anti war just as the Code Pinkos and the other Marxists.
The majority who rant on against McCain will not do the same against Obama or the IslamOfascists.

If I disagree with McCain on a issue I will state the issue
and why. Not set him up as the enemy of America to boost
and push Libertarian propaganda as some do on FR

Well, Mr. Goods, if the GOP is stupid enough to nominate another RINO, they will lose again. You’ve been warned.

There are a large number of individuals that fall somewhere in between conservatives and libertarians. There doesn't seem to be a name for these “in-between” individuals.

We as conservatives and libertarians could easily agree on the top two or three agenda items and call a truce to the remaining until the country is back on track. We agree on a smaller government through lower taxes, less regulation and less spending. We agree that defense is a constitutional mandate even if we differ on how our military should be deployed.

We could spend decades fixing what has been broken and the most pressing issue we don't agree on, immigration, we'll just have to deal with as it comes. Illicit drugs and social issues could be put on the back burner by both sides until the real issues have been addressed.

Ron Paul, Huckabee, Romney, McCain, none of them have what we collectively need. We need someone charismatic, energetic, sharp and well informed on the issues. Reagan was a gem among dull rocks and we need to put on our miners hats to find another gem.

I disagree, it was moderate to liberal tendancies and out of control spending of GW Bush and the Republican Congress that helped send the country downhill and fully into the arms of the Dems. I think its time to give the country a full helping of Democrat socialism and let them choke on it instead of continuing to sputter along with RINOs. This is kind of a like chemotherapy for the country; we’ll either get rid of the cancer and come back strong with a strong, CONSERVATIVE party in charge or die as a country.

Sarah Palin in the closest to Reagan in Views, sharp on the issues and comebacks.
