This makes me turn to Republican and Conservative voters from closely divided districts and states (like Minnesota was in November 2008), and ask them the following:
Now that Health Care Reform is where it is, what were you thinking by sitting out the elections in 2006 and 2008? You REALLY thought that there is no difference between moderate Republican majorities to a Leftist mad-house that we have in Washington since 2007?
Back in 1992, you were very dissatisfied with GHWB, and therefore you voted for Ross Perot, thus making is possible for Clinton to win the Presidency despite getting only 43% of the popular vote. Were you happy with that result? Were you glad that taxes for every household rose under President Clinton by 25%, vs only 9% under Bush the first? Were you happy that Clinton gave us Breyer and Ginsburg, vs David Souter that Bush gave us a few years earlier?
But to some Conservatives, voting for the Republican in those elections was too bad of a bitter pill to swallow. Well, here you have it: Health Care Reform is on the way to President Obama, and there is NOTHING you can do about it!
Next time, dear Conservative Ideologue, vote for the least bad of the two option you have, because voting/waiting for your ideal candidate, gave you Clinton and Obama as Presidents; control of the Hill to Pelosi and Reid, and finally: Health Care Reform in addition to higher taxes which you dont like.

HERE, HERE!!!
The majority of the GOP isn’t Conservative. I don’t know why you can’t understand why people might not vote for Socialist lite.
The people who helped elect Obama are the RINO Ron Paul Libertarians who voted Third Party or sat at home.
This is a friendly fire incident. Why fire in the wrong direction? The Dims are the real enemy.
I have had aguments with people who refuse to vote for Mark Kirk against Obama’s butt boy Alexi Giannoulias in the Illinois senate race because Kirk is not a “pure” enough conservative for them. In my opinion, these people are nuts.
I will vote for ANYBODY to stop anything like this from happening again. We can be idealogues all day and let the Dems continue to slap us around and destroy this country.
If you have a problem with the GOP leaders then you should run for office or get some people together to start a PAC that will get your voice heard.
Obama had too much star power in 2008. I doubt that any of the Republican candidates could have beaten him.
NO, the would be one Juan McDemocrat who refused to take on Soetoro mano-a-mano but has no problem attacking JD Hayworth. I say again, McAmnesty is no Conservative. The cold hard reality is that most in the GOP aren’t Conservative.
What we need to do is beat the bushes during primaries and weed out the damn Rinos then. We need to make sure that we do have a choice in elections and are not stuck with the lesser of two evils.
Had someone been able to articulate his plans better, I think 0bama would have been toast.
There are people today on FR who think that McCain’s Health plan was no different from 0bama’s.
Idiot!
Have you ever heard what happened to Kalifornia after doing what YOU suggest!
Efin blowhard!
I agree. Our next nominee needs to be a communicator..a great one.
I think we’ve seen a lot of people (Pence, Ryan, Cantor) who would be great.
The GOP couldn’t stop this train wreck because of McLiberal-Feingold. The game was rigged along time ago by Liberal Republicans. There are plenty of Bart Stupaks in the GOP who are fakes.
Living in IL that is exactly what was going through my mind as I read this thread...then I saw your comment. Right on the money.
There will always be those of us who don’t get it, I just ignore them. We will never have a more poignant teachable moment than tonight. As angry as we all get with RINOs, there isn’t one RINO who is voting for this abomination tonight. Whatever doubts I have harbored about Mark Kirk have been wiped out by todays events.
Uh, the Socialist-Lite GOP idiots are the reason we are here, not because of the voters who voted conservative or said “No, thanks” to the other Socialist-Lite idiots.
Wake up.
Why anyone would you a day like today to lecture conservatives is beyond me.
you=use
They don't need to. They have the cover of the Democrat votes. I say again the Bart Stupaks of the GOP are just as pleased this passed.
