The ADN makes the New York Times look centrist. That paper is the worst of the worst. Many years ago Sarah wrote them a letter telling them she can’t wait for the day they are bankrupt and out of business
That day is coming sooner than not, I think.
Story Time: I was a Frye's yesterday (they had an Acer computer for $430! It is tiny and fast! How do they make money off that?!...but I digress)
....and there was the San Diego Tribune, trying to pay us $10 in Frye's gift cards if we would just take their lousy paper on the weekend only. His selling point was we could get the Frye's ads.
After we left, there were men standing on the island in the middle of the road, trying to sell that lousy paper for a buck to motorists waiting to make a left turn.
They are hurting bad. If I want local news, I go to the free website. No way am I paying for their liberal garbage! /rant

True enough... and I was a reporter at the Frontiersman, so I got to see the ADN up close and gritty.
However, Freepers here need to know that Paul Jenkins has really solid conservative credentials up here in Alaska. He just doesn’t like Sarah for personal reasons, not for political stance. Jenkins used to work at the (now deceased)Anchorage Times, a lovely paper that actually reflected the readers it served. After the Times died and was swallowed up by the Daily News, the Times struggled on in a half-page presentation on the ADN editorial page in which Jenkins (and a few others) wrote a daily editorial and ran conservative columnists. Sadly, even that half page is gone.
When Jenkins says that Palin is sometimes thin-skinned and prone to payback - well, I respect other stuff he writes, so at least I’ll pay attention. Sometimes you can be on the same side of a politician and still not like them.
