She's a former Republican Governor and the current frontrunner for the presidential nomination in 2012. What did they expect her to do, a whistle-stop tour with Howard Dean and Arrianna Huffington?

I don't agree with this. Those RNC surveys are annoying. How many times have you scribbled in what you thought and returned it back to them? Now's not the time to send this crap when people are boiling mad at BOTH parties. The Republicans are not doing anything to stop Obama. Remember that the RNC is giving money to scumbags like Snowe and Collins who voted to confirm Kagan.

Yes, Palin is a Republican and if she runs, it should be as a Republican and not a 3rd-party candidate. But she shouldn't help the RNC.

It’s called paying one’s dues — something required in order to have RNC support later.

Here's probably why she's doing this:

RNC Calendar Reform Favorable for Governor Palin

I do wonder what concessions she demanded for this. Most “establishment” types hate her, so this must have been very humiliating for them. An interesting strategy. And people think she is dumb. She’s playing a big game.

A lot of good Generals have gotten mud on their jackets too but did their duty none the less, and no matter who gave the orders to go here and there.

The RNC is in need of funds anyway .. considering many donors now prefer to donate to candidates of their choice or locally.

It can reap big dividends ,, for Sarah and the party. I don’t see it as making her any worse for wear near or long term.

Besides it keeps her away from that nutty new neighbor..

Palin has attached her name to a letter and survey being mailed to RNC donors soliciting contributions for the committee's Victory 2010 program, a nationwide get-out-the-vote effort.

Being that the RNC has been on the wrong side of just about every primary election campaign so far, it doesn't surprise me that the one who anointed one of the most progressive Republicans is now signing onto their campaign mail. What was the Tea Party thing all about? I thought it was to say enough's enough with the establishment in both parties. I guess Palin was just along for the attention. Another loss of cool points in my book.

Very interesting chess match going on here. Romney is driving around from town to town in a beat up pick-up while the Republican party did a mailing in support of Sarah which is going into millions of mailboxes. Me thinks the lady just added another knotch and several skulls to her belt.

Anyone who considers themselves a conservative but who is pondering sending their hard-earned dollars to the RNC would be better off if they piled the money up and burned it. At least then it can’t be used against them and for liberals.

All funds raised should be held out the control of the RNC, and only released to it with the condition that Steele resigns with Palin serving as the interim leader.
