I thought that lame-brain was in the service? What gives with all this Code Pink non-sense? What wars has Governor Palin started? So he's a fiscally conservative Cynthia McKinney?

Ron Paul is exactly correct. “The fact is that the average man’s love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary, exactly like his love of sense, justice and truth. He is not actually happy when free; he is uncomfortable, a bit alarmed, and intolerably lonely. Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty — and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies.” H.L.Mencken
Baltimore Evening Sun (12 February 1923)

Whether it be Palin’s support for starting more wars or Beck’s beliefs on paying the private Federal Reserve MORE interest on our money by means of a VAT tax.

Huh? What? Since when?

Ron Paul needs to ride into the Mexican sunset and become a revolutionary; get his own army of bandits and live free.

If this is truly Paul's position, he's a useless tool.

I don’t believe Beck has even once linked today’s event in D.C. to the Tea Party, which, in any case does not possess an organic identity (i.e., it is not a structured organization).

It's all about the Constitution all rght. And where does "Provide for the Common Defense" come from Ron? Paul seems to picture defense as America, the Alamo. I'd rather not be sitting here waiting for the enemy to gather its forces and make its move. We tried that in the 90's and it resulted in 9/11-- it didn't work out to well.

Ron Paul may have renounced war in perpetuity but I’m afraid our enemies haven’t. I prefer to have a president who hasn’t renounced the threat of force against those who would attack us. Sarah Palin has not advocated to start any wars. This is the same garbage that was used against Barry Goldwater and Reagan and will be used anytime Republicans are considering a conservative presidential nominee.

It’s a weak president that gets us into wars. A president who sends mixed and confusing messages or wears his pacifism on his sleeve that prompts actions against us. Remember the 444 days of hostage taking in Iran that Jimmy Carter visited on us after he failed to support the Shah and allowed religious fanatics to gain power. If Obama keeps his promise and withdraws troops from Afghanistan in 2011, it will be seen as weakness and will invite attack. We need a president who will do what’s in the best interest of the US rather than what the UN or any foreign group wants.

Glen Beck isn’t going to run for any office, so who cares what positions he takes.

Ron Paul doesn’t believe in honoring treaties made under the constitution. He constantly quotes George Washington’s farewell address remarks against more entangling alliances, but never quotes the very next sentence where Washington says we must honor the agreements we’ve already made.

Ron Paul is very good on domestic policy, but when it comes to foreign policy he’s a fanatical isolationist.

Whether it be Palin’s support for starting more wars

What if the wars are just and necessary to protect our natural rights from external threats, which is one of the main purposes of government?

Ron Paul is a loony tune. It’s all that support for legalizing marijuana that Libertarians espouse.

I am a very strong supporter of using our military, ruthlessly, to pursue our core strategic interest in the world.

I did, and do, support the war in Iraq and would immediately eliminate Iran's ability to project any kind of power anywhere.

However, I don't believe we need 700 bases in 120 different countries. Definitely we should withdraw from Europe (maybe keep an air base or two), Japan (same thing). We also have a lot of small bases scattered around that could easily be closed without jeopardizing our security, and in most cases the security of the host country.

And, I don't get Afghanistan. I believe we should have left once we routed the Taliban...

I am not a Ron Paul fan when it comes to foreign policy, the guy believes we’re living in a vacuum and deserved what we got on 9-11.

That said, I am not for a VAT tax.

that said, I am not for starting any new wars. I am certainly for letting our military run open and finish the existing wars we’re in. I am for pulling out of countries that we can leave (Europe for example) that have demonstrations that don’t want us there.

As for new threats that arise, instead of sending troops, I am not against using our varied and vast arsenal of missiles. Conventional and otherwise.

Does Beck really favor a VAT tax? I only listen to or watch him occasionally, so am not aware of every policy he might favor or oppose.

How can anybody trust libertarians when their favorite
“son” loads up legislation that he knows will pass and
gives the pork while giggling “I voted against it.”?
