No thanks.... DeMint 2012
She earned that right when she turned 35, even though she doesn't look a day over 30, oh, I meant 29.
She quit her job in Alaska.
The job the people of Alaska asked her to do.
That speaks volumes, like it or not.
Palin/Bachman!
I doubt anyone else can “turn this boat around”.
Over 200 ears ago our Founders created a cage for the Fed Gummint. It has been gnawing it’s way out since. It is almost free. Like George said, “Government, like fire, is an awesome servant and a terrifying master.” Folks are about to find out unless we can get a whip and a chair and force the beast back into it’s cage.
Palin quit as governor because her notariety and the attacks by the yellow press and the commies were getting in the way of the needs of Alaska. She quit the position to remove herself from being the cause of harm for Alaska.
I plan on voting for Palin in 2012, even if that eans a write-in.
Of course she has the right to run.
Alvin Green had the right to run for the Senate. Plunk down your money, fill in the paper work.
And voila! You have the right to run.
Who is the former senator who lost by nearly 20 points?
Few begrudge Reagan because he graciously endorsed the winner Ford, and quickly back to work helping other Republicans after Ford lost in the general.
I wonder if Palin will have that kind of class (or maturity) that if she were to lose the nomination to someone she doesn't like.
We dont pretend to know what Palin will do and cant tell her whats in the best interest of her and her family.
It all depends if there is another reality show in it for her.
true but it is nice to see some people give her credit how ever backhanded. This except you posted was pretty fair and echos my stand. I like Palin let her run and see if her ideas carry the day.....
Any person who meets the constitutional requirements has the “right” to run for office.
(Even though some who do not, run and win anyway.) ;-)
There are, however, certain Constitutional requirements that one must meet in order to hold the office.
As near as I know, there are only three.
1. You must have lived in the US for the last 14 years.
2. You must have attained the age of 35, and
3. You must be a US NATURAL BORN CITIZEN!!!
I believe Ms. Palin meets all 3 requirements.
Well, I don't love her. I don't hate her. I don't fear her. I also don't admire or respect her, because of her stated policy positions on life, the appropriate balance of powers in our constitutional form of government, or the protection of our national sovereignty and security. But, I don't ridicule her. I simply won't support her for public office.
Earned? *sigh*
OK, I understand that this opinion piece is likely targeted at those who snipe at Gov. Palin, but words like “earned” and “deserves” only serve to drive the discussion of Gov. Palin’s potential candidacy further into the void of inanity.
Gov. Palin has already qualified to seek her party’s nomination vis-a-vis the US Constitution. She will have “earned” or “deserved” the right to seek the highest office in the land when and if she is chosen as the nominee of her party and not before.
The more the GOP allows its language to sink to the level of the PC liberals, the faster it loses its credibility. If it keeps going down this path, someone in the front of the pack will start screaming that Gov. Palin is “entitled” to be the GOP’s nominee. At that point, the GOP begins hammering on the final nail in its coffin.
It is Sarah Palin’s “turn.”
It is wonderful to know this Lady supports our Military. Another reason to support Sarah. Yes, this Lady could be America's Iron Lady. America needs an Iron Lady just as the Brits. May Sarah Win should she choose to Go For It! I think Lady Thatcher would be proud should Sarah Go For It. I'll take a Lady Thatcher, any day, over a Mitt or Huck or Gingrich who make promises and then retreat.
