Newt was VERY effective in getting the 1994 GOP house elected. I always enjoyed watching him on C-Span in the early 90’s. He articulated the conservative position extremely well. That said, I DON’T like how he seems to change his positions to agree with liberals. And NOW he’s back to the old Newt, which I respected. Clinton had Newt over a barrel, because of their mututal womanizing. Newt knew he couldn’t credibly criticize Bill, without having it backfire on himself. Are there any potential GOP POTUS candidates that don’t have baggage?

Yes,
Newt led the GOP takover of 94 then allowed them to spend like drunken sailors on shore leave for the 1st time in decades.
He has cozied up to the likes of Hillary and Nancy and I do not trust nor will I support Newt in any way,
Throw in his sordid personal life and Newt can go fish.
