Mitt Romney says 'Obamacare' should be repealed (Oh, the irony!)

Bartlett, NH - Leftover 2008 campaign signs outside the Carroll County Republican Committee dinner announce what's on everyone's minds, even Ann Romney's.

"And I'm the one that is encouraging Mitt to think about pushing forward and think about running. So, yes, yes I am. I'm pushing him," she said before her husband took the podium.

It's his first public speech in New Hampshire since the mid-term elections, and Mitt Romney sounded an awful lot like a candidate.

"It's gonna take more than a good speech on his part, more than rhetoric to put Americans back to work. It's going to take a new President of the United States," he said.

"I hope he decides to run for President. I believe he is the right person for the job. We need somebody who will focus on jobs," said Sen. Bradley.

Businessman turned politician, Romney began his remarks in unfamiliar territory - foreign policy.

"And, of course, his proposed engagement. Remember this? With Iran and North Korea, he was going to engage with them. That won him the Nobel Prize. How's that worked out?"

Romney calls the country's domestic situation a moral tragedy - high unemployment, deep federal debt, and slow economic recovery.

Collar unbuttoned and tongue in cheek, Romney acknowledges he takes heat for the health care reform he instituted while Governor of Massachusetts. He says if he were in the position to do so, he would repeal Obamacare.

"The states are the place where health care programs for the uninsured should be crafted, just as the Constitution provides. Obamacare is bad law constitutionally, it's bad policy, it's bad for American families, and it's one reason why President Obama will be a one term President."

I would rather see Obama ruin this country for 4 more years, than see this charlatan destroy the Republican brand.

You're putting a political party above the welfare of the country?

Please go start your third party because you are a sorry Republican.

Democrats put their party before the welfare of the country. Being Republican and doing the same is just as disgusting!

BTW, I don't like Mitt any more than you.

Thanks for the rebuke. I overreacted with that last post.

As far as I’m concerned Mitt might as well be a Dem, but he might slow down the train wreck slightly. I just don’t trust blue-state Republicans whose positions and values change with the seasons.

If this Republic is going to make it, 2012 is the year Conservatives must take complete control of the Fed and clean house. More Dem or Dem-lite control in DC, is not going to cut it.
