Donald Trump attacks Obama's dealings with Tony Rezko
International Business Times ^ | April 11, 2011

Posted on 04/11/2011 6:35:17 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

President Obama “never did a deal in his life except with Tony Rezko,” said Donald Trump on Fox News.

“People should look into that one,” he added.

Trump once again went on the offensive against Obama. His previous point of attack was doubts over Obama’s birthplace. Now, it’s the latter’s long history with Tony Rezko, who Hillary Clinton in 2008 called a “slum landlord.”

Rezko is am Illinoisan political fundraiser who was convicted for fraud and bribery in 2008. He was accused of using his political position to extort money from businesses seeking contracts from the Illinois Teachers System Board and the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board.

Back in the 1990s (before Rezko’s offenses took place), two companies owned by Rezko gave the first ever contributions to Obama's Illinois Senate campaign. In the 2000s, he served on Obama’s U.S. Senate campaign finance committee.

In 2005, Rezko’s wife bought a lot adjacent to a house Obama purchased for $625,000 and subsequently sold a part of it to Obama. The deal generated much controversy back in Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.

Trump went on to say that the President of the United States needs to be able to “deal properly” – something he said Obama isn’t able to do because the latter “never did a deal in his life except with Tony Rezko” before assuming the presidential office in January 2009.

Trump criticized America’s “deal” with China, which will have the latter making a “$300 billion profit” this year. In prior interviews, Trump also criticized America’s deal OPEC and blamed it for high oil prices.

Now, there’s an idea!

After all "The Donald" is really a liberal on most issues. Imagine Obama being forced into debating him in the primaries. That is where Trump could do the most damage.

Because someone is using him to soften up the target. Not sure who at this point, but Trump is the perfect guy to do it.

If The Donald wants to toss some money around, why doesn’t he delve in to the alleged wild limo ride in Gurnee and the unsolved death of Donald Young?

They are scared. Anyone who has been in politics for 10 minutes knows you don’t throw stones because they will come back at you. The Donald, he doesn’t care..he has a life outside of politics.

Live in Fla, and I can tell you more and more people are liking what they see from The Donald

Lots of folks in Florida are ex-New Yorkers and will vote for The Donald in a heartbeat. So will the City's union guys. I find it amusing that posters on this board who have never uttered a good word about New Yorkers are mesmerized by Trump, the quintessential New Yorker.

I wonder what the connection is between Donald Trump, Rahm Emanuel and his brother Ari who is Trump's agent. Rahm left the White House on less than friendly terms. Trump donated to Rahm's mayoral election . . . could Rahm be passing on insider information as a form of revenge. As they say, politics makes strange bedfellows.

Did you hear him comment on negotiating trade deals? It was hysterical...went something like this-

The Gov. sends diplomats.....me I’ll send Wall Street guys, they know how to deal. LOL!

He’s already done more than all the dwarves like Myth, Gomer, Tiny Tim and the rest. Only the two gals have been standing up to Barry, until now.

While appearing on “The View” recently, Barbara Walters asked Trump if he would pick Sarah Palin as his running mate. Trump didn’t answer....he continued talking about another topic.

....White House reminds us of Trumps non-conservative life.

Like Obozo is a pillar of conservative life. Grass, crack, world freeloader with no history, you got to be kidding.

Trump is always "balls to the wall" and people will buy that for sure. Come what may, other then Palin and Bachmann, the rest of the sweet talkers are retread losers.

” Like Obozo is a pillar of conservative life. “ ===============================

huh?

It’s Trump’s non-conservative life which is about to surface, and it’s the White House who is going to make sure it does. You may not know the White House is behind it but it’s going to surface. No one said anything about Obama as a conservative.

As for our side, you’re right, there are none, NONE, but parakeets compared to Trump with his hair on fire against Obama. The reason is because none have the experience, confidence, nor the gravitas to take it all the way to Obama’s third floor. None.

Somehow I doubt that Donald Trump is anybody’s idiot. I get the feeling he is seriously thinking of getting in this thing. I love the way he has transitioned from just the BC to now the left jab with Tony Rezko. I am waiting for a right cross with something else next. The Donald is deliberately smacking Barry around on the playground to get a fight going.

Rita, I guess when I read your post I drew the inference. (Trump can not make it through our primary after the White House reminds us of Trumps non-conservative life.) That made me believe if they castigated Trump for a non-conservative life, the opposite would be obeeee has a conservative life. Otherwise, what put the focus in this trait when obee is in the same boat.
