You'd think people who live right next door to us would understand us better than that.

I thought the 9% vote for the false Tea Party candidate was the reaason for the R.’s defeat. Wrong?

This is saying that the election of Hochul in the one district makes Palin’s “comeback” completely out of phase.

That’s just silly.

Let me count the ways that is silly...never mind...there are too many to waste time mentioning.

Sarah Palin has burst back onto the national stage at the time when her brand of combative, small-government conservatism is reeling from its first political defeat of the Obama era, when Republicans lost what was considered a safe seat in a byelection

I stopped reading right there. Already a bogus and bullshiite article and it just started.

When did she leave the stage? You don’t see all these articles on the Mittster, do you? Libs always point to their fear like a compass. North to Alaska.

“a Democratic victory in western New York state last week is seen as a sign that the tide may be turning—and that the Tea Party movement may have peaked.”

What a load of CRAP. The Republican just resigned because of a sex scandal. That’s why Reps lost. PERIOD! Punishing Republicans for putting forward a pervert. Nothing like Wiener, but a pervert all the same.

Palin needs to do a whole lot better than poll 15% of the Republican vote - behind Romney at 17%.

I'm viewing this from the UK and the impression I have of the US electorate is that the domestic economy is the central concern. ‘Obamanomics’ has not re-animated the economy nor has it addressed the fundamental flaws of the US economic model.

Just like the UK, the US economy is unbalanced - credit and consumption form the bulk of annual growth, which, has been fuelled by a ballooning debt that has now reached ‘critical mass’. The political LEFT and the RIGHT on Capitol Hill are both guilty of this ‘kamikaze’ economic model - aided and abetted by (I'm afraid) the American Voter ! ?

Neither Palin nor Romney have addressed this fundamantal TRUTH to the American people.

Obamanomics is disgraceful, but, the intellectual sterility in the GOP should be of greater concern to conservatives.

Palin and Romney are not ‘up to the task’ facing America. Until conservatism can offer the American electorate a credible political platform and a candidate that inspires confidence amongst conservatives (AND independents), don't expect to see the inside of the Oval Office in 2012 !?
