I support Rick Perry’s entry into the race to the extent that he will split the Romney votes.

Therein lies the problem with Perry's candidacy. For every one vote he takes away from Romney, he splits 3-4 away from Palin/Bachmann. His role in the primaries will be to deny Southern/Lower Mid-west delegates to the conservative candidates. Perfect stalking horse for Romney.
